Office Halloween Party

Rebecca’s costume was the most complicated. A scholar? Not quite…she’s a special kind of ghost.

A ghost who vanished by degrees. Get it? Punny! (Actually, I don’t quite get it either.)

It’s from this book. Just in case that clarifies everything.

Eric’s costume seemed to fit his personality somehow.

Those are his own paintings on his wall, by the way. From a distance they look like regular landscapes, but close up they are strange – slightly odd and eerie.

I never noticed before, but I think Kathy looks a little bit like me! It must be the orange tutu.

One of my employees and I have a monthly “walking meeting”, which was scheduled for after the party. It was rainy, but he’s from Olympia, Washington and still wanted to walk. I had my raincoat with me, so I was like fine, I get it, I lived in Olympia for several years myself. You get outside despite the weather. I didn’t take his photo (none of my own team dressed up, we’re all just a bunch of serious data geeks), but here’s a tree from our walk, all dressed up in fall colors.

Happy Halloween!
